Board of Directors
Erie Shores HealthCare, being a community hospital, is managed by a Board of Directors, and represents the communities it serves.
Any resident who is over the age of 18 and has been a resident in the catchment area for more than three months, is eligible to be nominated to the Board of Directors. "Catchment Area" includes the geographic limits of the following municipalities: Town of Leamington, Town of Kingsville, Communities of Wheatley and Romney, Town of Essex, Town of Amherstburg, Belle River, Harrow, Town of Lakeshore and Pelee Island.
Our Board has 13 Director positions as well as community representatives on various Board Committees. Board members can serve a maximum of three 3-year terms (9 consecutive years) without a break of service. The Governance Committee, which is responsible for nominating Board members, strives to balance the Board membership with gender, age and ethnic diversity, as well as, skills and experience that are needed for a Board to oversee a complex health care organization.
